چکیده
We study the resonance profiles of L 0 phonon and hole intersubband Raman signals from p-type modulation doped AlAs GaAs AlGaAs quantum wells. The resonance profiles show very pronounced sharp peaks at electronic resonance energies. We show that the energies at wh.ich the Raman resonances occur are directly related to the electron subband energies in the conduction band well. We study quantum wells which are up to 745 %i wide. We determine the binding energy of bound levelsiithe conduction band wellup to n = 18. We determine the conduction band nonvarabolicitv experimentally. The intensity at the Raman resonance peaks is modulated by an envelope func6on which is refated to the ov&lap integral of the electron and the hole wavefunction. Thus we determine the Fourier components of the hole wavefunction in terms of the conduction band wavefunctions.

In this paper, the Schrodinger equation for a quantum wire is solved using a finite difference approach. A new aspect in this work is plotting wave function on cross section of rectangular cross-sectional wire in two dimensions, periodically. It is found that the correct eigen energies occur when wave functions have a complete symmetry. If the value of eigen energy has a small increase or decr...

In this work, we have studied binding of Clonidine drug (C9H9Cl2N3) with zigzag single walled carbonnanotubes (SWCNT) (5, 0) by theoretical methods of theory using Gaussian 09 software package.Binding energies, NMR parameters and HOMO- LUMO Gap energy were calculated. Results frombinding energies indicate that it is possible thermodynamically to bind Clonidine drug to SWCNT.The calculated NMR p...

In this paper, a vertical cavity surfaceemitting laser was simulated using of software based on finite element method. Thenumber of quantum wells was changed from 3 to 9 and the results which are related tooutput power, resonance ...
متن کاملStrong Optical Filed Intensity Improvement Introducing InGaAsP Quantum Wells in InP Nanocavity
This paper presents the optical characteristics of a quantum well doped InP nanocavity. The resonance wavelength of the nanocavity and the optical field intensity is calculated before and after presence of the quantum wells. The resulting huge filed intensity of about 1.2×108 respect to the incident field is the effect of quantum wells placed in vicinity of center of nanocavity.
